Diversity & Inclusion in Grocery

Background:
With Diversity and Inclusion emerging as a central theme on the corporate agenda, a strategic decision was made to seize this opportune moment by creating a showcase event. The objective was to foster learning, meaningful discussions, and networking opportunities dedicated to the critical subject of Diversity and Inclusion within the corporate landscape. Collaborating closely with Grocery Aid and key Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) companies, we aimed to pioneer an industry-first event. The event served as a platform to formally launch a joint commitment to advancing Diversity and Inclusion practices within the workplace.

Solution:
The one-day conference, held at the iconic Wembley Stadium, brought together industry giants such as Tesco, Accenture, Coca Cola European Partners, Proctor & Gamble, and Mondelez International. The collaborative effort addressed pivotal topics including Learning & Development, Smarter Working Culture, and External Mentoring. Through a carefully curated program comprising seminars, talks, and networking initiatives, the event successfully attracted nearly 1,000 international delegates from leading FMCG companies. The goal was to provide a space for insights, story-sharing, and collective exploration of diversity and inclusion in the Grocery industry.

Results:
Timed with International Women’s Day, the event showcased keynote speeches, panel discussions, and a guest appearance by Baroness Karren Brady. Featuring main stage talks, ‘bitesize’ learning sessions, and intimate networking opportunities, the day delivered rich content and engagement. Culminating in a impactful networking session, the event drew 817 attendees, 10 main-stage speakers, and over 859,558 impressions, underscoring its success in advancing Diversity and Inclusion in the corporate landscape.
